Watershed forests in Mae Suai, Chiang Rai
The main highway between Chiang Rai and Chiang Mai passes through Mae Suai district. This is a place of great natural beauty, with forested hills and a cool moist climate almost all year round. The people of the district are primarily members of the many tribes that inhabit northern Thailand, and as a result, Mae Saruay is a place of tremendous cultural and ethnic diversity.
